Months in the making, the long-anticipated Loft 21 is days away from its big launch. We get the first sneak preview of the rooftop restaurant and bar that's about to become one of the hottest spots in the city.
Loft 21 will be open 6pm to 1am on weekdays, and 6pm to 2am on weekends. The soft opening is yet to be confirmed and all social media accounts are still in the making so stay tuned to us as we will be announcing when it’s go-time along with all the necessary updates.

We've all been there - you've taken your beloved out for dinner, drinks, dancing and now all you want to do is rip eachothers' clothes off and get down and nasty like it's 1999. But oh no, your folks are still awake when you get home - awkward and a half. Well, in honour of Cupid's birthday we can exclusively reveal Cairo's best public make-out spots....but don't tell mama and baba.

 Egyptian writer, TV host, and artist Yasmine El Khatib has stirred controversy with the title of her new book, Welad El Mara, which literally translates to 'sons (and daughters) of the woman', which probably sounds quite inoffensive, doesn't it? However, in Arabic, 'mara' is a derogatory word for 'woman'.
Upon announcing the title of her book, El Khatib was at the receiving end of tremendous backlash from social media users who find it offensive and inappropriate, and even went as far as insulting her personally. Journalist and TV host Ibrahim Issa even mocked El Khatib on Twitter, calling her a mozza (Arabic for chick).
Be that as it may, Fathy El Mazin – owner of Layan House, publishers of the book – told Masr Al Arabiya he had agreed with the author to change the book's title.
Welad El Mara is a collection of essays that tackle women's issues in the so-called Arab world (The Middle East and North Africa).
El Khatib is arguing that the use of the word mara as an insult goes to show how misogynistic these societies are.

ويتجه البنك المركزي ووزاره الماليه المصريه الى تعويم الجتيه المصري انان العملات الاجنبيه في محاوله للسيطره على جنون الاسعار التى اصبحت قنبله موقوته تهدد مستقبل اوله المصريه
